Well, I was going to talk about the Discovery Liftoff today, but I had a conversation with Lunch Friend over IM that was so much more deserving of publication. We started off talking about the liftoff of course …

Women are inferior, if you believe in survival of the fittest (i do). The only reason women are still around is that there's a biological need to stick our **** in them. Women are genetically inferior; that's a fact. They are weaker, smaller, and too docile. The reason humans have dominated the earth is because of man. And that's also why the earth will eventually be ruined.
You can't argue this with "what if women ruled the world", because they wouldn't. The world wouldn't be ruled. It would be passively enjoyed, and the global population would be around 1 million because the feminine psyche doesn't possess the "divide and conquer" trait.
i might get a LOT of sh*t for this... but i too feel that women are inferior (mainly physically, but partly genetically). i hate that word, but i feel that this is how we're made.
do i think a woman can be president? yes. do i think a woman can make more than a man? yes. do i think a woman can be in the army? duh.
however, our emotions do get in the way sometimes, which is what keeps us from rising CONSISTENTLY above men. why is it that it is usually a man that sits in a ceo position? why is it that a man is always the president? why is it that men are the majority in the army?
sure, you have some amazing women that beat the odds and climb to the top. and sure, more and more are doing it every day. but not in our lifetime, or our kids, or even our grandkids, will we see women become the majority leaders or the majority of the breadwinners.
women were made to procreate, to nurture, and we like it that way. i don't think it's a bad thing that life is this way. i don't care if i'll never make as much as the man next to me - i would rather be a woman, emotions and all, than a man any day.
now, i don't think it's right for people to discriminate based on whether you're male or female. if a woman is just as qualified as a man, then it should be an equal race.
but when it comes to survival of the fittest, and i mean if we were stripped down to our skivvies and told to survive, most men would beat out most women every day.
and for the record, since bryan and i seem to agree on this issue, we have a very equal marriage in which both of us have jobs, both of us have household chores, and both of us have equal say in our finances and other affairs.
i believe in bryan being the head of the house, the spiritual leader, and the protector.
i believe in me being the event planner, the money spender, and the moody b*tch.
so there. :)
Sarah, definitely not the comment I expected from you. You'd be surprised what your body and mind can accomplish when it's forced to respond and re-adjust. I'm sad to see that you've been so conditioned. Because what you're describing is centuries of conditioning to think that you can't rise above a man. Women are doing it everyday by the millions! You've just managed to minimize years of progress.
It's not you can't, it's you don't want to. Because you are comfortable where you are.
I base my "women are inferior" only in regards to physical traits (hormones included). I don't know one girl that could take me in a fight. But I can list a LOT of girls that get me to do whatever they want by batting their eyes and puckering their lips.
Sarah's got this figured out. Every night she'll rub up on me and sweetly ask for a glass of water, and I'll walk down three stories to get it for her. In our relationship, she has all the power.

Personally, I agree most with what "Fefa' has said, in that both women and men are superior to the other in certain aspects of life and survival. It really depends how you look at it, but they both have dominant physical and mental characteristics over the other.
And while I think Lunch Friend makes a good point in saying that women are just as capable as men, I think you contradict yourself a bit.
You say it's wrong to believe that men are superior to women, but you go on to say that "women are winning" and "all species are created equal." Those are two conflicting statements.
Which one one is it? Are women winning and thus superior to men, or are all species created equal.
Nevertheless...Great discussion topic..
Oh, and one more quick comment. Along the line of what Bryan Peters said. Personally, I could give my girlfriend an absolute pounding physically, and there's nothing she can do to stop it. It's a matter of sheer physical dominance. I'm 5 ft. 11 - 200 lbs. and she's 5 ft. 4 - 100 lbs. It's just not fair.
However, she can smile at me and whine just a little bit, and I absolutely meltdwon and cater to any wish she pleases. So in that sense, she owns me.
So each sex has its powers over the other. I think when you meet the right person for you, it all balances out, and a successful relationship blossoms.
yes, i agree with most of what fe says too. i can always count on her to be so articulate.
and great point woozy. to clarify, the whole point of the post was to debate that women are NOT inferior (as opposed to either sex being superior than the other, which is not my intent or belief). i think women are winning not because they are superior, (because again, i don't believe they are) but because they are overcoming previous oppressions by males and will (hopefully in my lifetime) exceed all of our expectations.
